The Worcester County Developmental Center has announced the 7th annual Finnegan’s Wake to be held at Seacrets’ Marley Hall on March 9th from 5 to 9 pm.

The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy will hold their Tooth Fairy Follies Fundraiser on Friday, March 8 at Dove Pointe in Salisbury. All proceeds will benefit their free dental clinic to be held in Salisbury in April. it’s a great event, so head over to Dove Pointe – 1225 Mt. Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation has announced their Warriors Walk for Wyatt and 5K will be held on Saturday, May 4 at WinterPlace Park in Salisbury from 9 to 11am. Proceeds will benefit the Wyatt’s Warriors Foundation programs to support families of children hospitalized in Salisbury and fight congenital heart disease. Lower Shore Land Trust (LSLT) has announced two new events for the coming year.

On March 30, LSLT will be training volunteer land stewards. This is a remarkable opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful and ecologically important land on the Lower Shore and at the same time help LSLT carry out their responsibility to effectively monitor the easements it holds. On Saturday, May 3, LSLT will be holding the Delmarva Pollinator Festival and the 12th annual Native Plant Sale. This is the largest pollinator festival in the 3-state area. The family-friendly event will include live music, crafts, local food, kids activities and more in the Sturgis Park alongside the Pocomoke River in downtown Snow Hill.

The Lower Shore Land Trust (LSLT) announces the Stephen N. Parker Conservation Legacy Award Luncheon to be held on Friday, February 15 at the Atlantic Hotel in Berlin, Maryland from 11:30 to 1:00pm. The award,
to honor the memory of a renowned conservationist, community leader and friend. The Stephen N. Parker Conservation Legacy Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated an enduring and distinct dedication to conserving the vital lands of the Eastern Shore. Join us as we recognize Charles “Buddy” Jenkins for his contributions in conserving one of the most significant tracts of land, an ecological anchor for the coastal bays.
