Campaign for the Future – The funds raised during the $10 million Atlantic General Campaign for the Future will allow Atlantic General Hospital to complete $35 million in capital projects. Among them is completion of a new 18,000-square-foot full service cancer care center, completion of the women’s health center in West Ocean City, Modernization of our Inpatient Care Area, Expansion of the Emergency Department and Outpatient Services and Modernization of the Surgical Facilities including building a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center for our community.

Points Of Juxtaposition will be showing at the new Somerset County Arts Council Gallery at 1101 West Main Street near the City Dock in Crisfield, Maryland. Explore this gallery and the unique show with an opening reception July 12th from 4 to 7 pm. The show continues through August 2nd.  The gallery will be open from Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm and Saturdays 9 am to 12 pm. The artists will have over 50 works at the gallery.

Points Of Juxtaposition began in 2008 when a group of African-American Artist decided to come together to have a dynamic show of artistry. The first show was held at Salisbury University’s Fulton Gallery, Salisbury, Maryland. The show was a huge success with more than 70 works of art on display and over 270 patrons in attendance at the opening. The group of artists are all life-long friends who live in various areas of the Delmarva Peninsula. Bringing together a collection of over 250 years of experiences and insightful excursions into multiple points of view.

MAC will be holding a Fun Day at the Jolly Roger Amusement Park on July 13 from 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. More information by clicking HERE.

Stories Love Music’s Creative Engagement program provides creative engagement programs for caretakers of those who suffer from Alheimer’s or other age-related dementia. This is a FREE workshop in Berlin, MD designed for family caregivers as well as professional caregivers. Lunch will be provided. Join many others on June 11 at the Ocean City Golf Club to support the Worcester County Developmental Center. All proceeds from the golf tournament go towards client services. Your donation helps us provide employment opportunities, residential services, day habilitation programs and community-based supports to adults who live with a disability.

On June 29th, the Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District will hold an anniversary party and Rockin’ Auction. This free-to-the-public event will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Crisfield Art and Entertainment District and will include an auction of business-sponsored and artist-painted rocking chairs. On June 7, MAC will host a ‘Financial Exploitation Forum’ to discuss financial exploitation of seniors and explore ways to better identify and report the crime and to seek effective ways to prevent it. More information HERE.
