This spring, Ocean Pines and the Maryland Coastal Bays Program will be hosting a day of fun, hands-on activities, and educational talks about how watershed residents can make a difference right in their own backyards!
This day is sure to delight with free bay boat rides, the Burley Oak Beer Truck, a food garden, kids activities, environmental speakers, live music, hands-on demonstrations, nature crafts, dozens of educational booths, self-guided nature hikes, a recycling corner, and a local student art showcase…just to name a few!

Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services (WYFCS) is happy to announce it has received grants from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and from the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission to expand its mental health services. The grants will enable WYFCS to hire two additional clinicians to provide mental health counseling services.

The Delmarva Discover Museum is hosting its Blue Jeans Ball on Saturday, February 16 at the Snow Hill Fire Hall. There will be live music, food and beverages, cash prizes and a raffle! All proceeds will be used to purchase new supplies and equipment for the Museum’s STEAM laboratory. Students from across Delmarva will benefit from your support. Cost is $45 per person.


The Maryland Coastal Bays Program has announced two events in January. The first event is a fundraiser to be held at Burley Oak Brewery in Berlin on January 21st from 5 to 9. There will be fun and games! https://heartsoftheshore.org/event/burley-oak-charity-night-for-mcbp/

The second event is a Project WILD training session to be held in partnership with the Ward Wildlife Museum on January 26 at the Assateague Island Education Center. In partnership with our colleagues in the Suicide Prevention Coalition serving the lower Eastern Shore, we’re inviting you to join us for a two-day ASIST workshop. This is not just for healthcare professionals; It is appropriate for anyone wishing to learn or strengthen suicide prevention skills. Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days, and continuing education units are available for those who need them. Attendees must commit to attending both days.
