The Village of Hope, in Salisbury, Maryland, is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organization that provides a transitional home for at risk women and children.
The Village works with participants and their families to build skills and abilities that will empower them to lead self-sufficient, productive lives.
Women accepted into our TRANSITIONAL LIVINGprogram
come from all walks of life. Often, they are caught in a
self-perpetuating cycle of homelessness, domestic violence and financial
deprivation. The program offers up to two years of residency in one of
14 furnished apartments located in the Village of Hope residence
building. Working with a Case Manager, participants are required to
establish a written,
time-oriented plan for achieving self-sufficiency.
Through various donations from individuals, businesses, special events and our Annual Appeal, participants are provided opportunities to improve their education, employment status, job skills, life skills and attend classes at Wor Wic Community College, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Salisbury University or other educational facilities in order to achieve their goals and become productive members of society.
The Village of Hope is widely recognized as an outstanding Delmarva charity. We are proud to serve the Lower Eastern Shore and welcome you to get involved. Visit the Village of Hope website to find out more: http://www.villageofhope.us/
